Southlake Realtor and Med Spa Owner makes $5,000 Donation to New Friends New Life to help trafficked and sexually exploited women and children

Southlake Realtor and owner of Grapevine’s BLU Med Spa, Melissa Muller has been named a Rolls-Royce Phantom Phenom. Like the prestigious Rolls-Royce Phantom, a Phenom has a commanding presence and has built her success by being the best at what she does. She never stays in one lane. She has aimed high and delivered for herself and her community. Exhibiting elegance, presence, and compassion, Phantom Phenoms share a passion for their philanthropic efforts that make them stand out in their communities.

Melissa credits her West Texas roots for her fierce independence. “Women of West Texas are very compassionate, strong willed and, yes, stubborn,” explained Melissa.  “I come from a broken family. My mother was the sole provider. At 13 I was working to help provide for myself and my family. My Great-Grandmother Kinney ran her own oil trucking company. She was a phenomenal woman! I am lucky to have such great inspiration by so many women, and men, who taught me the importance of remaining strong and to always be thankful, appreciative, and to always be honest.

In 1991, Melissa started her real estate education. “Choosing a better life brought me to Dallas-Fort Worth. I started real estate school at Brookhaven College in Dallas. I moved to California where I appeared in televised fashion shows for Telemundo. I also did my fair share of commercials and photo shoots. I returned to Dallas in 1993 where I worked for Hunt Oil for seven years as a production coordinator. In 2001, I got my Texas real estate license. I started my own company in 2009. I still hold my Texas license, and I’m looking at doing the same in Colorado since my husband, Rick, and I own a home there as well.”

Melissa is involved with many area charities, including Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange (GRACE), Spokes for Hope, and The Gatehouse.  She has always created a way to give back to the community where she does business.

“Melissa is an extraordinary businesswoman and philanthropist,” said Heath Strayhan, General Manager of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Dallas, part of the Avondale Premier Collection. “She embodies the bold spirit of a Phantom Phenom. We are proud to recognize her achievements.”

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Dallas recently celebrated Melissa Muller at the grand opening of the New Friends New Life offices in Dallas. Melissa donated $5,000 to the program, which restores and empowers formerly trafficked girls and sexually exploited women and children. The new 15,000 square-foot facility features separate areas for youth and adults to receive counselling, education and job training, interim financial assistance, mental health and spiritual support.

“Several years ago, I attended a Colleyville Women’s Club luncheon,” said Melissa. “New Friends New Life had a panel of girls on stage. When I heard what was going on in our little community, which I thought was just perfect and sweet, I thought, ‘that can’t be happening here!’ But it is! I did my research, and it’s so disturbing.”

Texas ranks second in the nation for the most human trafficking activity. Every year 100,000 children are trafficked in the U.S.

“I feel this is a growing problem in our society today,” she continued. “No one wants to discuss our run-down foster care programs, immigration issues, homelessness, and our growing epidemic of opiates and pharmaceutical drug abuse. We must be aware of this darkness among us and shine the light on the poor souls caught in this web of deceit and defeat.”

Melissa Muller joins eight other women across the country with the prestigious Phantom Phenom designation, including: Alexandra Park Souto (Austin), Ella Peters (Washington DC), Lee Bailey (Dallas), Colleen Ellison (Houston), Renee Tims (Beverly Hills), Hilary Roberts (Beverly Hills), Stephanie Shojaee (Coral Gables), and Sandra Fiorenza (Miami).

“Never stay in one lane, make your presence known, aim high and always have compassion… these attributes of a Phantom Phenom ring loud for me,” concluded Melissa. “I truly believe if you say you are going to do something, you need to do it! I chose a long time ago to not depend on anyone else! Tag yourself… you’re it. You are the only one in charge of your destiny.”
