As a wholesale jewelry manufacturer, Pieter Andries Hye had already received numerous international awards – including the prestigious De Beers Designer of the Year Award in 1979 – before opening his Southlake retail store in 1983. His experience in manufacturing jewelry for other retailers, and his partnerships with the finest diamond houses in Europe, enabled him to create his own jewelry collection without the need for intermediary suppliers. Inspired by European craftsmanship and contemporary design, he reinvented classic diamond pieces and created one-of-a kind jewels sold directly to the public. Today, Pieter Andries continues to design most of the fine jewelry in his Southlake showroom and travels the world to hand select superior cut diamonds and natural gemstones.

Pieter Andries is proud to be a member of the American Gem Society (AGS), an elite group of jewelers that adhere to the highest standards of ethics and gemological knowledge in the industry. Only five percent of all jewelers, designers, and appraisers have met these standards. In order to be a member of the AGS, Pieter Andries Jewelers and its staff are reviewed on a yearly basis to ensure they are up-to-date on the latest gemological information, consumer protection practices, and industry related legislation.

Pieter Andries Jewelers has been serving the Southlake area for over 25 years and in that time, it has established a tradition of giving back to the community. Over the years, Pieter Andries has personally supported many organizations in the Southlake area including the DFW Humane Society, Southlake Rotary Club, North Texas Shield Foundation, Bob Jones Nature Center, Miss Southlake Pageant, and Southlake Historical Society. In addition, Pieter and his wife, Marilyn, as well as our Executive Vice President Janice Gaddie, are active members in the Southlake Lions Club. Because of his outstanding service to the community, Pieter was awarded Southlake’s “Citizen of the Year” in 2005 by the Southlake Chamber of Commerce.
