About
The North Central Ballet Company is the resident company of the North Central Schoo lof Ballet and is a member of the Southwestern Regional Ballet Association, Regional Dance America, The Arts Council of Northeast Tarrant County and the Dallas Dance Council. Founded in 1993 by Leslie M. Jordan III, the North Central Ballet Company is a civic, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the art of ballet and helping to enrichthe environment of our community through education, performance and dance relatedactivities. The primary goals of the company are to provide young dancers the pportunity to develop their talents in a professional atmosphere, and to pass on tothem the excitement of a “live stage performance”.
The North Central Ballet Company provides a training ground for serious dancers who wish to develop a stage presence while advancing their education. Dancers in the area who are proficient in classical ballet and pointe work are eligible to audition for the company. In all things we shall strive to instill the desire for excellence in art, cooperation among young people and a sense of pride in our community.
Students from the North Central Ballet have been awarded scholarships to study with major professional ballet company schools throughout the United States including School of American Ballet (New York), Joffrey Ballet (New York), North Carolina School of the Arts, Boston Ballet, Hartford Ballet, Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell, Kennedy Center, Ballet Austin and Colorado Ballet as well as major university dance departments. In addition, several of our former students are now performing with professional dance companies around the world. Students have also been accepted to American Ballet Theatre's National Training Scholar Program as well as represented the school as a finalist for the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts Presidential Scholar program. Former students have represented the United States of America at the 2002 International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi. Professional ballet instruction is the basis of our student's success.

All dancers are invited to participate in our annual full-length ballet. We do not present "recitals", as do many "studios". Students in the ballet school have the advantage of participating in a full-length classical ballet with historically correct choreography. This allows our students to be exposed to the classics as well as performing alongside high level dancers.
