At Girl Scouts, girls are always counting down to the next adventure they'll go on together.  Maybe its artistic. Maybe it's an experiment. Maybe it's getting outside or helping the community.  With us, you'll make a bunch of new friends and have a ton of new experiences that show you how exciting the world is, and how awesome you are, over and over again.  Learn more about Girl Scouts by going to www.gs-top.org or contact Ninet Campbell at 817-914-7842 or ncampbell@gs-top.org.

Every year, the City of Grapevine celebrates the monarch butterfly migration with a Butterfly Flutterby Parade and enjoying the Butterfly Festival. Troop 1425 marched in the parade and were a crowd favorite - they won first place in the group costume division! Their prize - a gift certificate to Palio's Pizza. Threy will use the pizza winnings for their annual Christmas party.

The girls LOVE coming up with fun elements to add to their parade costumes. During the parade, the girls sang traditional Scout songs plus a special butterfly song their leader wrote. They have learned how to work together to really make a good, cohesive group effort while marching. Their energy level plus clearly having fun with their Sister Scouts make them a crowd favorite in the parade each year.

Girl Scouts from Troops 4015, 4048 and 4050 showed off their green thumbs at the Silverado Memory Care Community's renewal garden planting event in September. The girls learned about herbs that are used in the residents’ cooking, plants that attract hummingbirds and butterflies, and seasonal vegetables that the residents also get to enjoy.  The girls planted lots of flowers, watered the gardens, and harvested vegetables for the residents.  They even helped make hats for the residents to wear when they are outside! Check out some great pictures from this awesome day!
