The growing popularity of area lacrosse was evident as three Dragon Varsity players signed intent letters yesterday.

Lauren Neumann and Connor Harryman participated in a signing ceremony at Southlake Carroll Senior High hosted by Athletic Director Kevin Ozee. They were joined by family and players from the Men’s and Lady Dragon teams. In total, 18 Dragon Athletes signed letters and were recognized in lacrosse, swimming, tennis, baseball, softball, volleyball, women’s basketball and diving.

Bryce Wasserman had a similar signing ceremony at Grapevine Faith.

Neumann, a Lady Dragon midfielder/defender will play for and attend Saint Mary's College of California in San Francisco next fall. Lady Dragon Varsity Head Coach Heather Jack attended her ceremony.

Harryman, a Dragon midfielder, will represent and study at Bellarmine University in Louisville. Wasserman, a Dragon attackman, will be a founding player with a new program starting up at Monmouth University in NJ.  Varsity Head Coach Bart Sullivan was on hand for their signings.

All three players started their careers with SCLA in addition to playing on local select club teams. Southlake Carroll Lacrosse Association provides the opportunity to play lacrosse locally and currently serves nearly 500 families. Registration is currently open for High School Men’s and Ladies programs and will soon open for youth boys (grades 1-8) and youth girls (grades 3-8) in January.
