A gas leak has forced the City of Southlake's Department of Public Safety to close off two eastbound lanes of Southlake Boulevard.  

Southlake DPS is reporting the closures are due to a leak near Southlake Boulevard and Banks Street. The Eye Group building, according to DPS, has been evacuated because of "higher than normal levels of gas." Atmos Energy is on the scene.

Drivers should avoid the area.

The City of Southlake is reporting that an 8-inch gas line cut has forced the closure of all eastbound lanes on Southlake Blvd. until further notice.
