If you're the parent of a current freshman enrolled at Carroll High, then be sure to attend one of several public meetings designed to help you learn more about the state end of course tests and the impact these tests will have on your child.

The STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) information sessions are planned for tonight, Thursday, November 10th, at Carroll Middle School. Two meetings, lasting about an hour each, will be held. A meeting for grades K-6 will begin at 5:45 p.m. and the 7-8 grades meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. 9th grade parents are encouraged to attend one of the meetings.

Presentations, given by members of the district's Teaching and Learning Services Department, will cover frequently asked questions about the tests and other essential information. Watch an online video presentation about the tests here.

Carroll Middle School is located at 1800 E. Kirkwood Blvd. in Southlake.
