Saturday, August 25th marks the Grand Opening of the ALL NEW Dragon Den. The Carroll Athletic Booster Club (CABC) Dragon Den has been around for a long time but Dragon fans have never seen anything like this!

“The Dragon Den has a rich heritage of providing Dragon fans with spirit wear and gear,” notes CABC Vice President, April O’Neil whose primary responsibility is running the Dragon Den. “We want the Dragon Den to be the destination for all things Dragon.”

The make-over of the Dragon Den will surprise and delight many Southlake shoppers who are accustomed to upscale retail.  Volunteer Wendy Sippel worked throughout the summer to change both the ambiance of The Dragon Den and the merchandise selection. While it’s not going to rival Town Square just yet, if the social media response is any indicator, Dragon fans are sure to be thrilled.

After shoppers take in the aesthetic changes they’ll be excited by the incredible selection. The focus this year was to find unique items and innovative designs to bring something new to the Dragon community. Sure, shoppers will find Dragon polos and stadium chairs right alongside “Dodge” balls but they’ll also find a myriad of treasures from local designers. Carroll Senior Brenna Porcarello with Native Beads is one such designer supplying hand-made jewelry to complement your look in the stands or out on the town. The designer line up is impressive, most of whom are community members and Dragons! CatEye Gems designers of handmade, bohemian-inspired jewelry; Kolby Lane Designs makers of super cute custom T’s; NY Parka handbags; Ame B Designs custom décor, blankets, spirit wear and more; and Rad Joy wood working are just a few of the amazing designers contributing to the irresistible fall selection.

Located in Dragon Stadium (on the HOME side) the Dragon Den will hold its Grand Opening during the Community Pep Rally on Saturday, August 25th. The Dragon Den is run with heart and purpose. “We hope the Dragon Den will be your 1st Stop for all your Dragon wear, gear, and more,” notes O’Neil. The Dragon Den is the only shop in town where 100% of the proceeds go to funding our student-athletes grades 7 – 12.
