The hint of warmer weather is upon us. The sun is shining a little brighter, getting us in the mood for new spring season designs suited to brighten the days ahead. As we welcome spring in the next few weeks, what are the top fashion trends for the season?

Kim Waczak, owner of Nikko Blu Designs, inspires us to reinvent ourselves this spring with these top five trends for Spring 2022.

#1. Goodbye dark and dreary, hello bold and bright.

It’s all about color this spring.

For instance, this Eternal Essence Bubble Gum Satin Balloon Sleeve Mini-Dress looks like it’s ready for sunshine and fresh blooms. Wear it with a cute clutch bag and some white wedges for a light and breezy look.

We love the gorgeous color of this Hammered Satin Slouchy One Shoulder Top. Plus the neckline is not only a Nikko Blu best seller this season, but it's ultra comfortable with an elastic-lined waist and a convenient lined interior. We love the black shorts model Maya Walker is wearing with the top for warmer spring days. For cooler seasonal weather, style it with jeans, statement earrings and nude shoes for a casual chic look.

#2. Sorry stilettos, it’s all about the block heel this spring.

One look at this heel by Dolce Vita Paily and you won’t be able to stop thinking about it. This shoe is something you could wear season after season. Paily’s unique braided detailing feels feminine and sophisticated. Pair this with tailored trousers for a cool juxtaposition. We personally love this champagne color, but it is also available in a classic black.

#3. Oversized Blazers

This was the number one trend on last year’s Spring Trends Report, and it’s big again this season. Blazers are longer and straighter than the ones we’ve been wearing for the past few years.

This Neon Orange Italian Blazer has a three-quarter ruched sleeve. It is lined, silky and light weight. The orange is a perfect splash of color for spring and heading into summer.

#4. Playful Designs

Designers tapped into their inner-child this season with playful patterns. Asymmetrical designs and flowy materials are such a great combination -- like this Pastel Multi Groovy Dress. It would look amazing with Nikko Blu's White Cowboy/Western boots.

#5. Statement pieces – jewelry can say a lot

Yes, statement jewelry is back and having an incredible moment this spring. Nikko Blu was born from Waczak’s love of jewelry, so it’s the perfect place to shop for eye-catching pieces.

The Diana necklace is made for goddesses. The chain is 15 inches long and uniquely linked with 14-karat gold plated paper clips for a rustic look. The beautiful white enamel sliver of a moon pendant dotted with cubic zirconia adds elegance to the piece.

Butterflies are trending this season, meaning transformation, renewal and celebration. We are all ready to turn the page on the last couple of years. So let’s spread our wings and embrace the change with Nikko Blu’s Butterfly necklace, which mixes chunky with the delicateness of the butterfly. The 14-karat gold plated chain is 16 inches long, locked by a cubic zirconia chunky clasp with a beautiful white enamel and cubic zirconia butterfly gently hanging on.

Beads. Beautiful beads are Nikko Blu’s signature look. These stacks are on trend with the colors of the moment – green and purple.

The handmade Angel Baby Stack of four bracelets features shades of greens and gold. Each bracelet highlights different beads: the green and cream agate barrel bead; the pale green faceted crystal bracelet; the coated agate bead with a 14-karat gold plated angel wing charm; and round faceted gold beads with aurora coating that radiate a semi-purple hue.

The Purple Haze Bracelet Stack also showcases four handmade bracelets. Unique shapes of smoky lavender quartz with a gold cubic zirconia ball is the center piece of the stack. The three accent bracelets include one bracelet with deep purple crystals; another with coated multi-colored agate beads with a purple druzy pendant; and the last bracelet is made from delicate lavender faceted crystals.
