all ages welcome

The Kiwanis of Southlake will return with their 9th annual 5K Run 4 the Kids at Dragon Stadium.  Registration is now open for the May 14 race at run4kids.athlete360.com.

The race is open to all ages and will feature a 1K race at 7:30am.  The certified 5K race, with a course around Dragon Stadium and down Kimball and winding back up the "heartbreak hill" finish, starts at 8am.

All race proceeds will be put to work through Kiwanis in their effort to improve the lives of children, one life at a time.  Proceeds work locally to positively impact kids and their families in our neighboring communities. No other group supports as wide a range of groups as Kiwanis (more info here kiwanisofsouthlake.org).

Know for the unique designs on their technical shirts and goodie bags, Kiwanis will also offer a raffle this year.
All registered runners, even the popular virtual runners, will be entered into the raffle drawing.

In addition to being Mayor Laura Hill's official Mayor for the Day, a second grand prize package includes 2 nights at the Southlake Hilton, along with breakfasts at Copeland's of New Orleans and dinners at Brio Tuscan Grille and Truluck's.  Other prizes from Vera Bradley and Grayson Allen Fine Jewelers or MAYOR for the Day (thanks Laura Hill!)

Groups, Clubs and PTO's can help their own fundraising efforts by referring runners to the event.  During registration, runners simply select or add the name of the group  they support, and Kiwanis will donate $5.00 back to each group.

Kiwanis is asking the community to help by signing up, spreading the word, and buying addtional raffle tickets. Tickets are available for $5 each, or 3 for $10.

Businesses can help promote their business by donating additional raffle items.  For more information on Kiwanis and the various groups they help please visit kiwanisofsouthlake.org.
