Southlake residents are invited to join the fire and police departments as they honor and pay tribute to Medal of Honor recipients this Wednesday afternoon.

A motorcade of Medal of Honor recipients and escort will pass through Southlake at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, near the Carroll and Highway 114 intersection. Southlake DPS Fire Services will display a large American flag and Southlake police officers will lead the escort. Residents are invited to stand along the roadways and wave U.S. flags in honor the recipients of the nation's highest award for action and bravery.

The veterans are on their way to Gainesville for Medal of Honor Week.
