Former CSHS Student Biking to Alaska to Raise Money for Cancer!

Former CSHS student Elizabeth Hill is now a student at the University of Texas. She is studying Journalism, and is actively involved in her sorority Zeta Tau Alpha.

In high school, she was an editor for the student newspaper and a member of the Emerald Belles drill team. At UT, she has been accepted into a prestigious leadership program, Texas 4000. This is an 18-month-long leadership development program that raises money for cancer research. Her year will culminate in a 70-day long, 4500-mile bike ride from Austin, TX to Anchorage, Alaska in the summer of 2018.

Every rider completes 50 hours of volunteering in their community, 2,000 miles of cycling training before their summer ride, and raises a minimum of $4,500 dollars for cancer research. This program is student-led, was conceived in 2004, and has raised over $4 million+ for cancer research! Please help Elizabeth as she begins her journey in Texas 4000!

You can donate online here, and learn more about the cause.
