Carroll Theater’s Acting With The Stars event won’t begin until 7 pm on Thursday, February 4th but the competition is already in full swing!

Ten teams of local stars have been rehearsing and obviously looking to outside help for input and encouragement. The posts from supporters are a virtual “Who’s Who” of stage, tv, film, and politics!

Taking to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube, support has come from all corners of the country, including video posts from:

  • Marcia Gay Harden, Academy award-winning actress and current star of CBS’ Code Black, pledging her on-set support for #TeamMayorHill
  • Mark Singel, former Lieutenant Governor and Acting Governor of Pennsylvania provided an incredible piano-accompanied show of support for #TeamRingel  
  • Heidi Blickenstaff, currently on Broadway in Something Rotten, pledged her unconditional support to #TeamMcCoy
  • Max Von Essen, starring in An American In Paris on Broadway gave 100% of his support to #TeamMcCoy 
  • Actors Bo Derek and John Corbett, have already awarded #TeamMayorHill a PERFECT 10.
  • WC Students, gave a very loud & strong shout out to #TeamJoseph
  • OUES students, who clearly believe their library needs the Mirror Ball Trophy, have a HUGE shout out to #TeamMcCoy
  • DPAC, Dawson’s Performance Arts Company, pledged their support to #TeamHayes

Acting with the Stars celebrity sightings don’t end on social media.  AWTS winner will be chosen by a combination of judges’ scores and audience votes. This year’s celebrity judges include: 

Winners will claim both bragging rights for the year and the coveted Acting with the Stars  Mirrorball Trophy!

$10 gets you in the door and one vote.
Want to vote more than once?  No problem. You can purchase additional votes for $1.
