After being closed for over a week and a half, the Southlake Public Library is finally scheduled to reopen.
Patrons will be able to visit the library beginning Friday, December 16th at 10 a.m.
The library was closed after a water line broke on Saturday, December 3rd, flooding parts of the building. More than 100,000 gallons of water filled the first floor and at one point, the water was between five and six inches deep. While an exact cause hasn't been determined, the broken pipe was corroded.
All late fees for borrowed materials will be suspended until the library reopens.
