Southlake is one of the top 50 communities in a quality-of-life ranking for states in the southern United States, according to an article in the Dallas Business Journal.

The city snagged third place, falling behind West University Park, Texas and Wolf Trap, Virginia. Southlake was noted for its robust economy, quality housing and educational systems.

On Numbers, a feature of American City Business Journals, considered 1,145 southern cities, towns and villages with populations over 10,000 in the rankings.
