Despite currently being closed due to flood damage, the Southlake Library is still increasing its selection of children's books.

Some of the new chapter books include "The Lunatic's Curse" by F. E. Higgins and "The Son of Neptune" by Rick Riordan. For the little ones who are just learning to read, there are a number of colorful new picture books. The books cover a variety of topics, including a lot of holiday-themed stories that are perfect for this time of year. Click here for a list of the new books. More titles will be arriving soon, but you'll have to wait to get your hands on them.

The library remains closed after a water line broke on Saturday, December 3rd, flooding parts of the building. More than 100,000 gallons of water filled the first floor. While an exact cause hasn't been determined, the broken pipe was corroded. Officials said it should reopen by the end of this week.
