The Southlake Public Library  will be closed on Monday, December 5th after a water line break over the weekend.

A broken fire protection line developed a large leak on Saturday, according to MySouthlakeNews.com, and about 100,000 gallons of water entered the first floor, damaging the library and several Tarrant County offices. The Tarrant County assessor office and the county clerk office will also be closed until at least noon on Monday and possibly all day.

At one point, the water was between five and six inches deep. Disaster recovery teams worked until early Sunday morning to remove the water from the building. 

The first floor is currently being dehumidified, which could take a few days to complete.

Update: The Southlake Library will be closed through Saturday, December 10th.
