Park Place Lexus and Park Place Motorcars Grapevine recently gave a lucky Southlake Carroll Dragons fan the opportunity to kick a 50-yard field goal during halftime at the Southlake - Hebron football game for the chance to win a 2017 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 or a 2017 Lexus NX 200t.

Darren Estridge was chosen at random from the entries received and attempted to kick a regulation-sized football over the crossbar and between the uprights November 4 at Southlake Carroll Dragons Stadium.  Although the kick came up short, the fans always have a great time cheering on the guest kicker.

“We’ve sponsored the field goal attempt the past several years,” said Matt Woolsey, general manager of Park Place Lexus Grapevine. “We’re always rooting for the contestant to make it. We’d love nothing more than to see them drive away in a new Park Place Lexus or Mercedes. Maybe next year.”

Born and raised in Southlake, Woolsey is a 1992 graduate of Southlake Carroll high school, where he was a member of the golf team and theater. He currently serves on the Southlake Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is a 2015-2016 graduate of the Chamber's Leadership Course.
