Park Village shopping center in Southlake will host the inaugural Peanut Butter Challenge from Saturday to Dec. 15. The fundraiser will benefit Christmas is for Children, a Southlake-based nonprofit organization that provides holiday experiences to underserved children in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Park Village will collect jars of peanut butter to fill holiday baskets for local families in need. Each patron of Park Village who donates a jar or jars of peanut butter at The Juice Bar will receive a complimentary wellness juice shot.

The Juice Bar is at 1161 E. Southlake Blvd., Suite 284. For hours, visit thejuicebardallas.com/visit-us/.

To kick off the challenge, Park Village will host a launch party on Thursday and will donate 100 peanut butter jars to begin the drive. The end goal is 1,500 jars collected — one for each family in the program.

The nonprofit has supported more than 40,000 children and their families since 1991. The families are dealing with poverty, illness and domestic violence. Each child receives something he or she wants, something he or she needs and something educational.
