Lady Dragons to battle for home field playoff advantage while High School Boys play in Winner-advances to Playoff Game.

In a first-ever Senior Night Co-Ed Double header, the Southlake Carroll Lacrosse Association will honor 15 seniors in festivities prior to two important games tonight at Dragon Stadium.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., the Lady Dragons will pay tribute to their eight graduating Seniors. These include
Goalie Adara Bumpass, Midfielders Lauren Neumann, Mollie Danel and Baylee Boren along with Attackers Julie Tewell and Haley Krugler. Senior Defenders include Lauren Martin and Rene Santos.

The evening program will include a special appearance by the award-winning Carroll Drum line. The Lady Dragons’ game with Flower Mound  will start at 6 p.m. With a win, the Lady Dragons can lock up the 4th seed in the upcoming playoffs. This seeding would assure them of playing one more game at their usual home field in North Park.

Second-year head Coach Heather Jack shared, “We love playing at North Park. Yet, we felt that honoring our Seniors by playing our final regular season game in a first-ever co-ed double header at Dragon Stadium was a great way to show these ladies how much we value their dedication and contribution to our program.”

Immediately following the Lady Dragons game, the Boys will take on No. 9 ranked Allen. The winners of the game will continue their season, while the season will end for the losing Seniors. Determined to keep their season alive are Senior Attackmen Tim Barnhart and Bryce Wasserman, and Midfielders Scott Dickey, Cooper Green and Connor Harryman. The Senior Defensemen are Charlie Compagnone and Kenny Lear.

The Dragons carry momentum into this game following an 8-7 win over No. 5 Coppell last Friday. Dragon Coach Bart Sullivan, also in his second year, stated, “Our program is growing and is pointing up. The leadership demonstrated by these Seniors has been vital to that growth.  We will all be working hard to extend their season.”

Both games will be played at Dragon Stadium and parking and admission is free.
