Southlake Kiwanis' hosting 10th annual Run 4 the Kid on May 6th
The Kiwanis of Southlake will host their 10th annual 5K Run 4 the Kids at on May 6th on a certified course at Dragon Stadium. The race is open to all ages and will feature a 1K race at 7:30am and a timed 5K race at 8am. The returning title sponsor is Westlake-based Solera, a global leader in software for automotive and home ownership.
A Decade of Giving
The race should be the largest to date as Kiwanis will partner with the Carroll Education Foundation in this year's race. Race proceeds are invested locally to positively impact children. Kiwanis' mission is to improve local communities by enhancing the lives of children. No other group supports as wide a range of groups as Kiwanis.
A technical Race shirt and Goodie Bag
While the course has grown from locations at Carroll Senior High School then Town Square and now to Dragon Stadium in the past nine races, what has been consistent is the eye-catching, uniquely designed technical shirts, stuffed race bags and the giving spirit of Kiwanis. Kiwanis will again offer an option for "virtual" runners who want to get the shirt and goodie bag and support their causes.
Prizes and gift cards
There will be prizes for overall top male and female and Group (3 or more) as well as top 3 male and female by age group. Additional sponsor gift cards will be given away at random during the award ceremonies.
Kiwanis is asking the community to help by registering today, be a Sponsor, spreading the word, and encouraging others to run. Details and register here: https://kiwanisofsouthlake5k.itsyourrace.com/register/
