Our season grand finale with orchestra features the Durufle Requiem, Karl Jenkins Te Deum, Faure Cantique de Jean Racine, and Let the People Praise Thee composed by William Mathias for Prince Charles and Lady Diana's wedding in 1981. Understandably one of the most enduring choral masterworks of the 20th century, Durufle's Requiem is alternately haunting, terrifying, comforting, and deeply stirring. Karl Jenkins' brilliant, cinematic setting of the Te Deum deserves its place as the joyous finale of our season.
With guest choirs, L.D. Bell High School A Cappella Choir, Jo Ann Antinone, director and University of Texas at Arlington A Cappella Choir, Dr. Karen Kenaston-French, director.
