For the past 3 years, Pastor Leon Reyes of Trophy Club, has led cities of Southlake and Trophy Club in an annual city-wide campaign to collect hygiene products which he and his family deliver to the Dallas homeless on Easter Sunday. 2 years ago, we had over 800 homeless people, last year (with torrential down-pouring rain) we still had 400 homeless people in attendance. Therefore, we need lots of participation in donating the products that the homeless people need so desperately but don't always have.

Why does Pastor Leon give up his Easter Sunday every year to wake up at 6am, trade his Easter suit for jeans and a tee shirt, and give an inspiring Easter message to 400+ homeless people? Because he knows what it's like to be homeless.

That's right...many people who know Leon Reyes wouldn't guess that he has been homeless before. The fact is, in 2012, Leon gave up his home comforts and family for the cold month of November, and went voluntarily homeless on the streets of Dallas, just to truly understand them and build relationships with them. You can learn more more at haveyouseenleon.com.

Ever since that time, Pastor Leon has had a heart for the homeless, and his new church (which meets in the new Premier Academy Gym in Trophy Club every Sunday at 10am) look forward to this Easter sunrise service every year!

So...here's how you can help

  1. Donate shampoo, conditioner, soap, and/or new (unused) socks at the drop off location (Drop box located on the front porch at 105 Creek Courts Drive, Trophy Club)
  2. Make a monetary donation—100% tax-deductible, and 100% goes directly to the Easter supplies.
  3. Volunteer your time on Easter Sunday (it's fun and safe for the whole family), help pass out the materials, and help feed the homeless. (7am Easter Sunday, 1727 Corsicana Street, Dallas TX 75201)
