Home Away From Home School Spring Registration is Now Open!

Students explore nature through hands-on activities, science experiments, nature lessons and hikes, all of which reinforce nature and science concepts. Students are grouped into two classes based on their age – 6-9 year-olds and 10-14 year olds. Our Home Away From Home School program is also perfect for little ones who age out of our Cross Timbers Forest Preschool Program!

Tuition and Discounts

Tuition is $375 for a 15-week semester, and payment plans are available. Can’t start on Day 1? Prorated tuition is also available. Also, if you become a BJNC Member at the Family or above level, you receive a 10% discount! Or if you are sending more than one child, you are eligible to receive a 10% sibling discount.

Home School Participant Information

Location: Bob Jones Nature Center & Preserve
Ages: 6-9 & 10-14
Class Size: Min 4 – Max 12
Cost: $375.00 
Date(s): January 9th – April 25th; no class the week of March 12th – 15th 
Age 6-9: Thursdays 10:00am-12:00pm
Age 10-14: Wednesdays 10:00am-12:00pm

*If the minimum is not met, there is a possibility of joining the two classes together.

What to bring/wear: Please dress children in closed-toe shoes, clothing appropriate for outdoor weather; bring a water bottle and backpack labeled with your child’s name. 

Refunds and Cancellations: Classes cancelled by parents 6 weeks or more before the start of a class session are refunded at 100% excluding all processing fees. Classes cancelled between 6 and 3 weeks of the class sessions start date are refunded at 50% excluding all processing fees. Classes cancelled within three weeks of the class sessions start date will not be issued a refund of any kind. In those cases in which your spot can be filled, payments will be stopped.
