This holiday season is sure to be pleasing! Bring your friends and family out to the Bob Jones Nature Center the day after Thanksgiving for a guided hike amidst the fall colors and roaming wild turkeys. Participants ages 12+ will go for a two-mile guided hike to Lake Grapevine and back, keeping watch for wild turkeys and white-tailed deer. Families with younger children will go on a shorter guided hike of our Bluebird Trail and will have the opportunity to create turkey crafts after the hike!
The first 15 registrants will receive a sampling of jelly made from wild Mustang Grapes grown on our preserve that can be used to compliment your Thanksgiving leftovers. This event is FREE for members, and for non-members, it is $5 for adults and children (age 4+) and $2 for small children (ages 3 and under). Be sure to register at bjnc.org now!
