Gardening with the Masters
We invite you to come out for some light gardening alongside the Tarrant County Master Gardeners or simply stop by to ask a question or two.
The Master Gardeners are truly masters at what they do. They have each taken a minimum of 50 hours of instruction with topics covering lawn care; ornamental trees and shrubs; insect, disease and weed management; soils and plant nutrition; vegetable gardening; home fruit production; garden flowers; water conservation.
Gardening activities are ideal for home school groups, Scout troops, high school clubs and service organizations. Families and individuals are also encouraged to participate. Youth under age 13 must be accompanied by a parent, teacher, Scout leader or other guardian.
For all gardening activities, dress for the outdoors – wear closed-toe shoes and attire that can get a little dirty or muddy.
Can’t make it out on a weekday? We also have gardening activities on Saturdays; contact the Nature Center for more details: 817-491-6333 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
