Itze Cuevas of Keller, senior at Westlake Academy wins the Lone Star Award for the 2016 Art in the Square Youth Art Competition.
The winning art is an oil painting entitled “Crepe”
She and family will receive 2 night accommodations in Austin (courtesy of Kids Matter.) The artwork will hang in the rotunda of the Texas Capitol this summer. They will also receive a VIP tour of the Capitol courtesy of State Rep. Giovanni Capriglione.
3 other students were selected for exceptional artwork.
- 1st Place-Katerina Orgunov, Junior at Timber Creek High School
- 2nd Place-Noah Andrews, Junior Grapevine at Faith Christian
- 3rd Place-Addison Adkins, Senior at Westlake Academy
Each was given a gift certificate provided by Roxann Taylor/Engel&Volkers.
